Botox anti-wrinkle injections can be used to relax the muscles.

We do this to prevent the lines formed by those muscles (dynamic lines) from settling in and staying there at rest (static lines).

If static lines are already present, there is no guarantee they will go with Botox alone, and you may need polynucleotides and/or skin booster treatments/ microneedling with exosomes to improve this. But Botox will help to prevent future static lines from forming, because it will definitely reduce the dynamic lines.

Botox naturally wears off completely as it is broken down by the body, and in most people this takes around 3-4 months before your muscles go back to 'normal'. Therefore to keep the effects, maintenance is advised 3-4 times a year.
