Dark circles can be caused by many things; too much screen time, lack of sleep, lack of hydration, genetics, poor lymphatic drainage. And because there are so many causes, there are many different treatment options, depending on what your specific concern is.
Briefly to summarise:
- hollowing under the neath the eyes (with or without pigmentation and dark circles), will see the best improvements with tear trough filler. Sometimes if the hollowing is subtle and faint, then it may be better to have a few sessions of NCTF eye brightening mesotherapy treatments (see details of recovery and prices on SKIN page).
- no hollowing but just pigmentation; then I would recommend NCTF eye brightening, with a minimum of 3 sessions, 2 weeks apart. Then I would also top this up with an excellent eye brightening retinol serum/night cream.
- eye bags or puffiness; it would be best to trial out polynucleotides for 3 sessions and see the improvements. Again specific eye creams will help. Sometimes eye bags can be camouflaged with different types of fillers to support the cheek and blend the eye bag into the skin instead.
- medical eye care creams alone will help, but slowly, and it will often take 3 months to see any signs of initial improvement, where as the other results mentioned above are immediate.
